This site includes a series of reports, fact sheets, and other information resources sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce to address a perceived "digital divide" between information "haves" and "have nots" during a period when major advances in information technology have revolutionized communication. The publications available here date from 1995 to the present.
Open Doors: Accessing Government Records (Society of Professional Journalists)
A practical online booklet produced by the Society of Professional Journalists' Freedom of Information Committee, Open Doors covers the way Freedom of Information (FOI) laws work (including the distinctions between state and federal laws), how FOI laws and concepts apply to specific circumstances or subjects, and where more information on FOI can be found. A useful tool for anyone doing research that requires access to government records at any level.

Audit Bureau of Circulations eCirc Database
The Audit Bureau of Circulation's eCirc database is a quick and concise online source for the latest top-line circulation information. You can use it to retrieve current circulation figures for a large number of consumer magazines, business publications, farm publications, and newspapers. eCirc lets you sort and search summarized circulation data by publisher title, U.S. SRDS number, or Canadian CARD classifications.
