ViVa (Vrouwengeschiedenis in het Vakrijdschrift, Women's History in Professional Journals) indexes women's and gender history articles in over 100 scholarly journals in history and women's studies published 1975 to the present.

SAWNET (South Asian Women's Net) hosts this forum which includes news, bibliographies, reviews, directories, and links.
Women of Color Web
Focuses on issues related to feminisms, sexuality, and reproductive rights pertaining to women of color. Includes full-text resources, links to organizations, discussion lists and other academic tools related to women of color. This site is maintained by the Global Reproductive Health Forum at Harvard University.

National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL)
Activist organization which supports a woman's right to choose abortion, works to achieve better access to contraceptives and health and reproduction information. Their web site includes up-to-date information on pro-choice political issues, candidates and topics related to reproductive health.
National Organization for Women (NOW)
An activist organization dedicated to making legal, political, social and economic change in order to eliminate sexism and end all oppression.
Women Leaders Online
An online women's activist group with current news, action alerts, voter education and discussion lists.

Women's Human Rights Net (whrNET)
Supported by an international coalition of women's organizations, whrNET is divided into the following categories: Women's Human Rights Issues; Advocacy/Strategies; News and Urgent Action Alerts; UN/Regional Systems; and Capacity Building.
Devoted to working toward the advancement and empowerment of women in response to the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing. WomenWatch provides information on UN global conferences, international agencies, worldwide statistics on women, up-to-date news, and calendar events.

Abortion and Reproductive Rights Web Site
Large listing of Pro-Choice and Anti-Choice sites, full text Roe v. Wade, history of supreme court rulings on these issues, information on the 1996 election and reproductive rights.
Breast Cancer Information Center, Feminist Majority Foundation
Includes information and resources in the following categories: What you need to know, What you can do, Breast cancer internet resources, Breast cancer clinical trials, and Breast cancer hotlines.
Female Genital Mutilation Education and Networking Project
The purpose of the FGM Education and Networking Project is the dissemination on-line and offline of material related to female genital mutilation, otherwise known as female circumcision. The Project seeks to form an online clearinghouse and a community for researchers, activists, attorneys, and health care practitioners to obtain information and network with others involved in similar projects.
Planned Parenthood
Provides educational resources on birth-control, public affairs information, news, indexed web links, contact information, and information on Planned Parenthood affiliates. Site is searchable.
National, non-profit organization established in 1974 to offer assistance in resolving fertility problems. Site provides fact sheets, physician referrals, the RESOVLE quarterly newsletter, online articles, and links to other web sites.

A Celebration of Women Writers
This site provides a comprehensive listing of links to biographical and bibliographical information about women writers, and complete published books written by women. Search by author, title, name, date, country or ethnicity.
Digital Schomburg African American Women Writers of the Twentieth Century
A digital collection of some 52 published works by 19th-century black women writers. This is a full text database and each individual title as well as the entire database can be searched by keyword.
Domestic Goddesses, aka "Scribbling Women"
Contains material on American women writers between about 1830 and 1920 who addressed such issues as home, children and relations between women. It includes biographical, bibliographic and critical material as well as links to other relevant sites.
Feminist Theory Website
An interdisciplinary site containing information on feminist theory in literature, politics, philosophy, anthropology, aesthetics, etc. Includes bibliographies of works on feminist theories as well as biographical and bibliographical information on individual theorists. Search by fields within feminist theory, national/ethnic feminisms or individual theorists.
Isle of Lesbos
Includes sections containing lesbian poetry, art, photographs, letters, journal excerpts, quotations and a web directory pointing to numerous and carefully selected links.
Literary Works by Women
A full-text collection of fiction by women, maintained at the University of Maryland.
Texts by Women Authors from the Modern English Collection
Writings by women authors available from the Electronic Text Center at the University of Virginia. Hundreds of works by more than 150 authors are included.

Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP)
A university-based research, education and public service center. Its mission is to promote greater understanding about women's participation in politics and government and to enhance women's influence and leadership in public life. This web site includes full text research reports, fact sheets and links to other sites related to women and politics.
Emily's List
A political network for pro-choice Democratic women. This site includes information on women in politics as well as women voters.
League of Women Voters
This website covers the activities of the League of Women Voters of the United States and the League of Women Voters Education Fund. State and local chapters may also have their own websites.
National Federation of Republican Women
A political network for women in the Republican party.
National Women's Political Caucus (NWPC)
A multi-partisan national grassroots membership organization dedicated to identifying, recruiting, training, and supporting pro-choice women for elected and appointed office at all levels of government.
Women and International Politics: The Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance
This site addresses not only the quantitative aspects, but also the qualitative impact of women on political decision-making. The Institute's objective is to improve and enhance women's effectiveness in political positions and to strengthen their impact in decision-making forums. Includes full text documents, reports, case studies and statistical information from academics and other experts.
Women and Parliaments: The International Parliamentary Union
The International Parliamentary Union is a world organization of parliaments of sovereign States. The Union is the focal point for world-wide parliamentary dialogue and works for peace and co-operation among peoples and for the firm establishment of representative democracy. One of its focuses is on gender balance in parliaments. Topics include women's suffrage, women speakers of parliament, women in the media, etc.
Women in Decision-Making - European Database
Provides information about women in political decision-making positions in the European Union. Data are collected on national and regional levels of Member States as well as on the European level, including the EU-Parliament and other selected European Institutions.
Women in Politics Bibliographic Database
Created by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (Geneva; an organization of over 100 national parliaments) in cooperation with the UN Development Programme, this database currently cites 650 titles, including books, articles in books, periodical articles, and other organizational or governmental publications.

The Ada Project
A collection of links to other online resources relating to women and computing, this site includes resources on conferences, projects, discussion groups and organizations, fellowships and grants, and notable women in computer science.
This site provides original content divided into three categories: Tech (with tips and discussions of technical issues), Views (offers features on career, family, etc.) and Fun (with news on entertainment, books, travel, etc.)
Gender and Race in Media
A large collection of pointers to websites addressing the interface of race, sexuality and culture. Maintained by the University of Iowa Department of Communication Studies. Topics include cyberspace, feminist media, television and film, and advertising to name a few.
Explores how technology affects women's lives, providing information on joining the Wired Women Society and viewing meetings of the society on Wired Women TV.

Archival Sites for Women's Studies (Association of College & Research Libraries, Women's Studies Section)
A listing of archival collection focusing on women. Includes collection throughout and outside of the United States.
Archives and Webographies in Women's History (Women and Social Movements in the United States, 1775-2000)
Useful annotated guide to web resources in women's history maintained by the Women and Social Movements project based at the Center for the Historical Study of Women and Gender (State University of New York at Binghamton).
Archives for Research on Women and Gender Project
This site contains a state by state listing of archival collections that provide information on records, manuscripts, diaries, oral tapes, and art relating to the history and lives of women.
H-Women Internet Links
Link directory from the H-Women Discussion Network covers general resources, associations, image and sound collections, interactive and viewable atlases, online journals, and additional resources relevant for women's history.
National Women's History Project
Contains information on current celebrations, activities to promote gender equity in education, collection of feminist quotes, biographical sources, and a substantial collection of links to other women's history sites.
New Jersey Women's History
Includes primary documents, images, and maps related to the history of women in New Jersey.
Women in Leadership Database (WILD)
This web site provides access to a selected group of archival and manuscript collections related to gender and women's studies located at Rutgers University. Particularly useful for primary sources related to New Jersey women's history. Includes links to documents, sound recordings and video. Searchable by keyword and theme.
Women in World History
Hosted by the Center for History and New Media at George Mason University, this site provides an online curriculum resource center to help high school and college world history teachers and their students locate, analyze, and learn from primary sources dealing with women and gender in world history. These materials will encourage teachers to integrate the latest scholarship in women’s history and world history, as well as engaging primary sources, into their courses. Still under development, the site is scheduled for completion in June 2006.
Women's History Collections in the American Memory Project (National Digital Library Program)
The Library of Congress' American Memory Project features digitized collections of materials from the Library's vast holdings of historical documents, moving images, sound recordings, and print and photographic media. To date, over 130 collections have been created for the project, including the following collections in women's history:
