Academic Search Complete
  Large, interdisciplinary full-text database contains over 8,500 full-text publications, including academic journals, magazines, books, and trade publications. Offers broad subject coverage for a variety of disciplines, including anthropology, area studies, biology, chemistry, ethnic and multicultural studies, food science and technology, general science, geography, law, mathematics, music, pharmaceutical sciences, physics, psychology, religion and theology, women's studies, and many other fields. ACM Digital Library / Master SIG File / Guide to Computing Literature
  The Association for Computing Machinery's Digital Library includes the complete text of every article published in ACM journals, newsletters, and conference proceedings. Also included is the master file of the ACM's Special Interest Groups (SIGs), featuring hard-to-find conference proceedings papers and newsletter articles from all of the ACM's 39 SIGs. The site also features the ACM Guide to Computing Literature, a bibliographic database providing citations for over 750,000 journal articles, books, conference proceedings, doctoral dissertations, master's theses, and technical reports from over 3,000 publishers in the field of computing. Biological Abstracts
  Citations and abstracts for life science and biomedical research literature published in more than 4,000 journals. Subject areas covered include agriculture, biochemistry, biotechnology, botany, ecology, the environment, microbiology, neurology, pharmacology, public health and toxicology. Biological Abstracts contains approximately five million records, with more than 370,000 citations added each year, and links to full-text articles where available. Provided through VALE. Cambridge Journals Online
  A collection of over 360 high-quality journals published by Cambridge University Press. The collection is especially strong in the following subject areas: Mathematics, History, Law, Politics and International Relations, Language and Linguistics, Area Studies, Ecology and Conservation, Music, Psychology and Psychiatry, Biology and Biomedical Sciences, Classics, Computer Science, Earth and Atmospheric Science, Economics, Medicine, Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Social Studies. Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (Government Printing Office)
  The Catalog of U.S. Government Publications is the finding tool for electronic and print publications from the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of the U.S. government. The Catalog contains over 500,000 descriptive records for historical and current publications and provides direct links to those that are available online. [July 1976 - present]
Chronicle of Higher Education
  The Chronicle of Higher Education is a major news publication covering the college and university sector. The online edition of the Chronicle is published every weekday and features news, advice, and jobs for people in academe. The Chronicle's Web site features the complete contents of the latest print format issue; daily news and advice columns; thousands of current job listings; an archive of previously published content; discussion forums; and career-building tools. Free personal accounts are available to members of the WPUNJ community in addition to the campus-wide subscription access. [1989 - Present]
CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health) with Full Text
  The Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) is the most comprehensive resource for locating published research in nursing and allied health. The full text version includes content from over 600 journals indexed in the database, with many article backfiles extending to 1981. Frequently updated, CINAHL also provides searchers with current awareness of the newest journal articles through a rotating file of "Pre-CINAHL" records containing citation information and links to full-text (where available). Clinical Evidence
  Clinical Evidence, produced by the BMJ Publishing Group, is a decision-support resource for health professionals providing evidence on the effects of common clinical interventions and systematic reviews of important clinical conditions. Clinical Evidence systematic reviews summarise the current state of knowledge and uncertainty about the prevention and treatment of clinical conditions, based on thorough searches and appraisal of the literature. It describes the best available evidence from systematic reviews, randomized controlled trials, and observational studies where appropriate, and if there is no good evidence it says so.
 
Cochrane Library
  The Cochrane Library is a collection of six databases containing different types of high-quality, independent evidence to inform healthcare decision-making. The Library contains full-text systematic reviews in health care, details of published articles on controlled trails (including the methods used), abstracts of systematic reviews that have been quality-assessed, details of completed and ongoing health technology assessments, and economic evaluations of competing healthcare interventions from around the world.
 
ComDisDome (Communication Sciences and Disorders Dome)
  Online portal to communication disorders information resources includes a bibliographic database with citations and abstracts for books, journal articles, and dissertations; directories to authors and institutions; a dictionary of speech-language pathology and audiology terms; and a database of web sites useful for research. Includes powerful browsing, searching and save/exporting features. The database currently contains over 280,000 records, and it is updated monthly. Now provided on the ProQuest Search Platform. Encyclopedia of Life Sciences

Forensic Science (via Salem Science)
  Online version of Salem Press' three-volume reference encyclopedia contains 465 articles ranging in length from 500 to 3,000 words and covering a wide variety of topics in forensic science, including specific types of investigations, techniques, equipment, evidence, the role of forensic science in the legal system, specific historical subjects, depictions of forensics in the media, and much more.

GreenFILE
  Environmental studies and ecology database contains citations and abstracts for articles from over 265 academic journals, with additional references to books, essays, industry profiles, magazine and trade publication articles, market research reports, and pamphlets.

Health and Psychosocial Instruments (HaPI)
  The Health and Psychosocial Instruments database provides access to information on measurement instruments (i.e., questionnaires, interview schedules, checklists, index measures, coding schemes and manuals, rating scales, projective techniques, vignettes and scenarios, tests) in the health fields, psychosocial sciences, organizational behavior, and library and information science. JSTOR Arts and Sciences Collections (I through IX)

Archive of over 1,900 major journals in the humanities, social sciences, business, education, area studies, mathematics and statistics, and much more. Funding for the acquisition of the JSTOR Arts and Sciences V, VI, VIII, and IX Collections was provided by a generous gift from the Student Government Association. [18th Century - Present]

Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA)
  Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts indexes the international literature in linguistics and related disciplines in the language sciences. The database covers all aspects of the study of language including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics. The database provides abstracts and - where available - links to the full-text of journal articles, plus citations to book reviews drawn from over 1,500 publications, and it also provides abstracts of books, book chapters, and dissertations. Nature
  Full-text access to the flagship journal of the Nature Publishing Group. Please note that subscription access to other Nature Publishing Group journals has ceased due to loss of funding from the New Jersey Knowledge Initiative Program.
NJVID (New Jersey Digital Video Repository)
  NJVID provides access to hundreds of educational streaming video titles that can be viewed online, by members of the William Paterson University community (faculty, staff and students). Videos are available from multiple vendors, and include the entire Intelecom collection of video clips from a variety of disciplines (Sociology, Psychology, Health, etc.). Use your WPUNJ username and password to access these videos.

Physical Education Index
  The Physical Education Index database provides access to the scholarly, professional and trade literature in the field of physical education. Included are records from peer-reviewed journals, report literature, conference proceedings, trade magazines, patents, articles from the popular press, and many other publications. Since 2001, most records include abstracts, e-mail addresses, expanded publisher and author information, and other data. Among the topics covered in the database are physical education curricula, sports medicine, dance, sport law, kinesiology, motor learning, recreation, health education, physical therapy, standardized fitness tests, sports equipment, business and marketing, coaching and training, and sport sociology/psychology. Updated monthly, the database currently includes over 350,000 records with a backfile extending to 1970. [1970 - Present]
 
ProQuest Central
  ProQuest Central is a large multidisciplinary database indexing over 14,000 publications, the majority of them available in full text. Over 160 subjects areas are covered extensively in this product including business and economics, health and medical, news and world affairs, technology, social sciences, and more. The publications include over 6,500 scholarly journals, over 3,600 trade publications, over 2,000 magazines and newspapers, and over 800 industry reports, plus dissertations and theses, company annual reports, and videos.
 
ProQuest Computing
  Indexing for over 500 periodical titles, including over 250 trade publications, over 180 scholarly journals, and over 50 magazines. Citations and abstracts are available back to 1971 for several titles, and full-text access is available for over 400 titles, with current full-text content provided for over 200 of these. Topics covered in the database include artificial intelligence, games, graphics, networks, programming, security, systems, management, data processing, hardware, information science and information theory, and software. ProQuest Digital Microfilm (Barron's, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal)
  ProQuest Digital Microfilm offers high-quality, cover-to-cover page images from Barron's, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal, including all graphics, advertisements and other features from the print editions. Although the database does not support searching of any kind, it can be used in conjunction with other databases that index Barron's, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal so you can obtain the citation information needed to view a specific page image. Our subscription to ProQuest Digital Microfilm currently provides the backfiles of Barron's, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal to January 2008. [2008 - Present]
ProQuest Newsstand
  ProQuest Newsstand offers full-text news from over 1,280 sources, including domestic and foreign newspapers, wire services, magazines, trade publications, and blogs. Over 50 of the highest-circulation newspapers in the United States are included in the database, including such key titles as the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the San Jose Mercury News, the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, the Houston Chronicle, the Philadelphia Inquirer/Daily News, the Denver Post, and many others.
PsycARTICLES
  PsycARTICLES offers complete access to the full text of more than 80 landmark journals in behavioral science and related fields ranging from education, to nursing, to business, to neuroscience. The database currently contains over 160,000 articles from many of the most important journals in psychology, including 34 journals published by the American Psychological Association. Most titles feature complete content from the current issue back to volume 1, issue 1, with complete coverage of all subject areas relevant to psychological science including basic/experimental psychology, clinical psychology, developmental psychology, education and school psychology, health psychology, industrial/organizational psychology, social psychology and social processes. Articles in PsycARTICLES are also accessible through links in the (larger) PsycINFO database. [1894 - present]

  PsycINFO is the principal abstracting and indexing database covering peer-reviewed literature in the behavioral sciences and mental health. The database currently contains over 3.3 million records for articles from over 2,500 journals, books, and dissertations. Although the major focus of the database is psychology, it also includes information about the psychological aspects of related fields such as medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, technology, linguistics, anthropology, business, law, and others. The records in PsycINFO are organized by a rigorous and detailed system of subject classification to support high-precision searching, and links to full-text content are provided where available.   Approximately 1200 full-text journals in the sciences and social sciences, plus indexing and abstracting for over 500 other journals.
Scopus
  Scopus is a comprehensive database providing access to the research literature of the natural and physical sciences and the social sciences. The database currently provides over 45 million citation records and indexes over 18,000 peer-reviewed journals, over 400 trade publications, and over 300 book series. Also included are citations for over 4.6 million conference papers from proceedings and journals, over 24 million patent records from five patent offices, articles in press from over 3,800 journals, and over 350 million scientific web pages indexed through the Scirus search engine. SPIN (Searchable Physics Information Notices) - Abstracts Database
  Current indexing and abstracting of major American and Russian physics and astronomy journals. Contains abstracts for over 80 journals published by the American Institute of Physics (AIP) and its Member Societies since 1975, plus selected articles from other scientific journals, totaling close to 1 million articles. Full-text access is limited to four AIP journals: Journal of Applied Physics, Journal of Chemical Physics, Review of Scientific Instruments, and Reviews of Modern Physics.
SpringerLink E-Journals Collection
  Over 1,900 full-text scholarly journals in a variety of disciplines including behavioral sciences, biomedical and life sciences, business and economics, chemistry and materials science, computer science, earth and environmental science, engineering, humanities, social sciences and law, mathematics, medicine, physics and astronomy.

Theses @ The William Paterson University of New Jersey
  The product of a collaboration between the Cheng Library and the University's Graduate programs, a collection of over 70 digitized master's theses is now available online through the ProQuest search interface. The majority of titles in the collection are from recent Communication Disorders and Music program graduates, but in 2010 the program is expanding to include other programs and the collection will grow as new theses are submitted for digitization.
